The Uitmarkt is the opening of the cultural season in Amsterdam, held every year over a weekend at the end of August, usually on and around the Leidseplein and Museumplein (museum square). Many theatres open their doors for free to shows that range from classical music and ballet to hiphop, cabaret, literary recitals and film. Besides that, there are stands on the square and surrounding streets selling books or giving information on various cultural events of the next year.

Finally I have overcome my laziness to organize my pictures and put them on the web to share the joy of watching them.
My favorite topic is flowers as is reflected in the name of blog “Golestan” which means garden of flowers in Persian. However I will put toher pictures as well, but it will be flower-dominated. That might change gradually with time.
This is to motivate myself to start the hard work on my thesis and papers.

P.S.1 Do not be shocked, I am not going to bombard you each time with large number of new pictures at the same time. This is just to have a big enough spike to keep the fire on.

P.S.2 Any professioanl and unprofessional comments are welcomed.
